I believe in the power of science to make the world a better place. I believe that empathy and compassion are fundamental, not just because we're in the healing professions, but in everything that we do, including how we work with each other. I believe in the pursuit of equity and justice, and in listening to the communities we serve who walk that path with us. And I believe that academic health centers have both a responsibility and an opportunity to deliver on those values.
